The Stables The stable block has been built on an American Barn style layout, all are of a generous size. Each
stable has half doors onto the central alley and grills between stalls to allow horses the feeling of space.
We do not use automatic water feeders as we feel
it is important to monitor how much water a horse consumes. However, there are watering points the length of the central
alley, so there is not the need to carry water buckets very far. Five of the stables have an earth floor with natural drainage, the other four have a concrete floor for conventional
stabling arrangements. Liveries can use rubber matting, hemp or straw. The farm can provide straw at an extra
charge, and there is space to store alternative bedding if utilised.

DIY Livery We
can offer a range of livery options to suit all budgets and requirements from full stable livery for holidays or sickness
to DIY livery. We are unable to provide a permanent full livery service but can cover short term arrangements as required.
We provide all-year round turnout onto the fields. The grazing is very good. All paddocks have access to water
and natural shelter. Livery Charges Full Livery £55 per week per horse (includes
turnout/bring in, mucking out, & bedding) DIY

is a regular appointment with the local farrier Grant Lewis and owners wishing to have their horses shod on his visits will
need to book in advance. Allen & Partners the local vetinary practice in Whitland are the vets used.
Vaccinations would remain the responsibility of owners. Hafod Farm Stables provides a free worm count for all liveries
in April annually, but we request that all horses adhere to the worming routine recommended by the worming analysis results.
We aim to run an intelligent worming policy on site as opposed to worming by date. We shouldn't have to say it but
please ensure your horse is correctly passported.

Tack & Feed Rooms There is a feed room in the stable block with plenty of space. Haylage and straw are stored in the adjacent
barns. Space is provided for tack storage in the Tack Room opposite the stables. Each livery is allocated a metal
tack cupbard which is lockable. In the Tack Room there is planety of room for tack cleaning, as well as a kettle for
teas and coffees. Other Facilites Hard standing is available for the storage of trailers and horse lorries.
All Liveries have free use of the Sand School and Cross Country Course subject to availability and ground conditions. Turnout All horses are provided with all year round turn out in the fields adjacent to the farm.
Horses are kept in small discreet groups with a maximum of four horses being fielded together. The fields are fenced
and electric fencing is used to divide down to smaller paddocks as required. The fields are rotated to ensure
summer and winter grazing. During the winter the fields closest to the stables are used for safety reasons, in the summer
the further fields are utilised, but all are within easy walking distance of the stables.
